The Defa Type 2 charging cable is an A+ quality charging cable that is specially designed to charge electric vehicles with a type 2 connection. The Type 2 Mennekes is nowadays the standard in Europe, so that all public charging points also have a socket that fits a type 2 charging cable. Maximum load capacity

Many other loading cables only load on 16 or 32 Ampère, but the Defa charging cable goes a little further. This Defa Type 2 charging cable has a maximum load capacity of 13.8 kW on a 3 -phase connection with 20 ampere. The four ampere extra does not seem much, but ensures that households with less power power can load a little faster than 11 kW.

Sustainable plug head and two cable lengths

All Defa charging cables are equipped with cast plugs. Cut plugs are firmer and more resistant to water than screwed plugs, which means they last longer. Furthermore, the Defa Type 2 charging cable is only available with a cable length of five meters or 7.5 meters. Five meters is often enough to bridge the distance between your electric car and most charging points, but with 7.5 meters you know for sure that you are in the right place.
